Agents Boyd O'Brien Bartholomew reported a dearer market across the board for all descriptions at Moreton on Tuesday. A top line up, grain assist trade came to hand and sold to very strong competition. Heavy feeder steers sold well as did quality lines, backgrounders, both steers and heifers. All export sold to dearer rates.

Red Brangus vealer steers account B and M Warren, Boonah, sold for 254.2c/kg weighing 197kg to return $502. G Taege, Mt Forbes, sold Limousin cross vealer heifers for 243.2c weighing 240kg to return $583. RL and MD Ruhland, Boonah, sold Limousin cross yearling steers for 267.2c weighing 330kg to return $881.

Santa cross yearling heifers account Liekefett Holdings, Eskdale, sold for 267.2c weighing 432kg to return $1155. Charolais cross feeder steers account C Greensill, Samford, sold for 303.2c weighing 460kg to return $1394. B Varley, Dundas, sold Droughtmaster cross feeder heifers for 260.2c weighing 375kg to return $975.

Charolais cross grain assist steers account D and F Williamson, Linville, sold for 303.2c weighing 450kg to return $1364. B and G Bidgood, Blackbutt, sold Angus cross grain assist heifers for 280.2c weighing 377kg to return $1057.
