OFFICIALS have released their catalogue for the 2020 Magic Millions auction and Queensland breeders will be in the thick of the action.
Twenty of the vendors, who will consign yearlings to the sale, have Queensland as their base.
Collectively, they have provided 154 of the 1065 yearlings listed for the sale, running from January 8-14, with the exception of January 13 which is a rest day.
Scott and Grania McAlpine, Eureka Stud, Cambooya, will be the busiest of the Queensland vendors with a draft of 33 yearlings, some of which are progeny of their standout sire Spirit Of Boom (Sequalo - Temple Spirit - Special Dane).
The Innisplain-based Element Hill (14) and Glenlogan Park (13) as well as Basil Nolan's Raheen Stud, Darling Downs, with 11 yearlings, Kenmore Lodge, Wyreema (11), and KBL Thoroughbreds, Beaudesert (10) also have sizeable drafts.
Yarramalong Park, Kalbar (9), Lyndhurst Stud, Warwick (8), Rosari, Warwick (7), Daandine Stud, Goomburra (5), Highgrove Stud, Darling Downs (5), Alexia Fraser Bloodstock, Warwick (4), Gleeson Thoroughbreds, Chinchilla (4), Grandview, Peak Crossing (4), Oaklands Stud, Darling Downs (4), Canning Downs, Darling Downs (3), Jorson Farm, Wondai (3), Gainsborough Lodge, Darling Downs (2), Milbrook, Biddeston (2) and Noralla Stud, Gladfield (2) round out the "maroon" team.

"The depth and quality of this catalogue will present buyers with a lineup of Australasia's best yearlings like no other sale.
"This sale is number one for producing the life changing champions.
"The returns for investors in the Australian racing industry have never been stronger and this sale is where buyers are securing the horses who are sweeping the biggest prizes."
Graduates of previous MM sales include Winx, a winner of $26.4million in prizemoney, Redzel ($16m), Yes Yes Yes ($7.1m), Sunlight ($6.5m) and Pierata ($5.6m).
Books 1 and 2 of the 2020 Gold Coast Yearling Sale feature the progeny of 97 individual stallions including a record 29 first season sires.
