There were 538 head of cattle sold at Stariha Auctions Woodford cattle sale on Monday. The cow market again held up well despite the current market trend. Feeder and weaner rates remained firm. Calves up to four months were again easier.

Kevin Dellaway, Elimbah, sold Brahman steers for $1640 and Euro heifers for $1400. Bernard Tobin, Griffin, sold a Droughtmaster bull for $1800. James Page, Woodford, sold a Droughtmaster bull for $1520. Hazel Nichols, Stanmore, sold a Charolais bull for $1500. Alan Engeman, Delaneys Creek, sold Senepol cows for $1420.

Greg and Amanda Sterling, Mount Pleasant, sold Hereford cows for $1310. Imposera P/L, Yandina, sold a line of Brahman steers for $975. Christine Peters, Conondale, sold Belgium Blue steers for $1010. John Harrison, Woolmar, sold Charbray weaners, with steers making $765 and heifers $660. Garry Brown, Neurum, sold a Brangus bull for $1520. Baker and Haseler Estates, Dayboro, sold Droughtmaster cows from $1060-$1160.

J Woolley, Mt Mee, sold Droughtmaster steers for $820. Scott Reynolds, Sheepstation Creek, sold Brahman heifers for $700. Faywood Farm, Wanuran Basin, sold a Droughtmaster bull for $1620 and cows for $1090. Carla Vener, Mooloolah, sold Droughtmaster steers for $745-$870. Kenneth Bubke, Meldale, sold Brangus steers for $710. Robert Vogler, Kilcoy, sold Brangus heifers for $745. Lindmar Holdings, Neurum, sold Charbray vealers for $445.
