THE body of a man understood to be Trent Grose has been found on a property near of Maxwelton.
Sadly, officers believe it is Trent Grose who was reported missing to police yesterday. Formal identification of the body is now underway.
Police previously held concerns for Mr Grose's welfare after a vehicle was found abandoned on a property 75km west of Richmond.
The body was found at about 11am this morning, 17km from the abandoned vehicle on another remote property.
Mr Grose's family have been notified of the development.
Police are not treating the death as suspicious with a report to be prepared for the coroner.
The search for the 25-year-old started yesterday after a four wheel drive was found abandoned on an cattle property between Richmond and Julia Creek.
The vehicle was located by a station owner on November 27 with a flat battery. It is possible the vehicle had been in this location for several days before it was found.
Mr Grose, who has previously worked on properties in Central Queensland, did not work at this property where the vehicle was found abandoned. He was last in contact with friends about two weeks ago before the tragedy.
