Agco brand Massey Ferguson has been awarded Machine of the Year in the mid-power tractor category for its new MF 6700 S Stage V.
Massey Ferguson product manager John Horan said he was pleased to see the team recognised at Agritechnica, Germany for developing the most powerful four-cylinder tractor in the world.
"This award recognises the commitment of everyone at Massey Ferguson who contribute their skills and experience to create innovative, cost-effective and easy to operate tractors," he said.
"The team of engineers his team created the concept of the high power, four-cylinder tractors and was the first to take this up to 150 kilowatts (200 horsepower).
"The new MF 6700 S Series takes the concept further. With its compact dimensions, exceptional power to weight ratio and tightest turning circle, the tractors combine the highest performance with optimum economy."

Mr Horan said the series includes 5 models, ranging from 100 to 135kW (135 to 180hp), with each benefiting from engine power management which boosts power up by 15kW (20hp).
He said the MF6700S is available with either a D Dyna-VT continuously variable transmission or a new Dyna-6 Super-Eco semi-powershift transmission.
"The Dyna-VT enables operators to set any forward speed at any engine rpm to maximise productivity, increase efficiency and improve work quality," he said.
Mr Horan said the tractors are available with an ISOBUS compatible touch-screen terminal with tablet-style operation, enabling operators to access and change settings quickly and easily.
He said for those interested in precision agriculture, the terminal can be upgraded to incorporate Massey Ferguson's guidance, rate and section control.
Alternatively, Fieldstar 5 is also available.
Mr Horan said the MF Connect telematic system further improved the reliability and machine up-time, allowing real-time data transfer of operating and diagnostic information.
"We are excited to bring the new range of Massey Ferguson 6700 S tractors to Australia and New Zealand in 2020," he said.
"They're built for tough conditions and will provide farmers and contractors with the power they need to get the job done."
