Agents Boyd O'Brien Bartholomew reported a yarding of 1652 head of cattle at Moreton on Tuesday.
The cow market was very firm especially for the lesser condition cows and 4 and 6 tooth heifers. Vealers and yearlings were firm for the top end with the bottom end selling to a cheaper market. Heavy feeder steers were in short supply with backgrounders selling well on the day.
As the dry weather continues large numbers are rolling in creating a great opportunity for the astute purchaser.
