There was a yarding of 1150 at Toogoolawah on Friday, where Charolais cross steers topped at $1640.
Charolais cows from Mal and Lyn Freeman, Rosevale, stole the show and sold to $2200 for unregistered PTIC excellent cows and $2000 for cows and calves.
The feeder market was solid for both steers and heifers and backgrounder heifers of all breeds met excellent competition.

Marilyn Dennehy's Droughtmaster steers 20 months sold at $1140. JD Lex Investments, Coominya, sold Angus cross steers 12 months at $1110. Valeview Droughtmaster steers eight months sold at $720.
Gerald and Jan Ryan, Linville, had Charolais cross steer weaners at $680. Russell and Julie Fogg sold Charolais cross steer calves at $800. Paul and Ros O'Brien, Gayndah, had Charolais cross steer calves at $730.
Melissa Thornton's Euro steer calves 7-8 months fetched $640. Fay Craddock had Charolais cross steers 18 months at $1080. Eskdale Station had Santa steers 14 months at $800.
Grazing Girls, Beaudesert, sold Santa steers 16 months at $1020 and Santa steer calves at $740 and $720.
An excellent line of heifers came to hand with a quality line of 240 Charolais x, Santa cross and Angus cross heifers from Eidsvold. These cattle were feedlot reared and were snapped up by a large range of feedlotters selling to $1120 to average $1011 for the whole consignment.
