There was a yarding of 412 cattle at Roma prime sale last week.

A total yarding of 412 head of cattle were penned at Roma's prime sale on November 7.

Steers over 550kg sold to 338c and averaged 317c, while steers 400- 550kg sold to 335c, averaging 312c.

James A Cox, Roma Feedlot, Roma, sold Angus cross steers to 338c, reaching a top of $2079 to average $1557. BJ and E Radel and Sons Pty Ltd, Burenda, Augathella, sold Charolais steers to 335c, reaching a top of $1826 to average $1642. The Braham bulls sold to 299c, reaching a top of $3078 to average $2532.

Gladys Downs Pastoral Co Pty Ltd, Gladys Downs, Augathella, sold Santa cross steers to 327c, reaching a top of $2000 to average $1310. G Roberts, Gladys Downs, Augathella, sold Santa cross steers to 327c, reaching a top of $1924 to average $1831.

Sandi Jephcott, West Benwick, Surat, sold Red Angus cross steers to 326c, reaching a top of $2283 to average $2283. Barry Duff and TA McCagh, Two Rises, Wallumbilla, sold Charolais steers to 321c, reaching a top of $1798 to average $1798. Dan Radel, Burenda, Augathella, sold Brahman cross steers to 240c, reaching a top of $2496 to average $2496.

Heifers over 450kg made to 318c and averaged 287c, heifers 350-450kg sold to 269c, averaging 233c. W and K Brown, Booralie, Roma sold Angus heifers to 295c, reaching a top of $1682 to average $1682. The Angus cows sold to 270c, reaching a top of $1641 to average $1404.

Cows over 500kg peaked at 294c and averaged 264c, while cows in the 400- 500kg class topped at 270c and averaged 229c. Cows 300-400kg sold to 220c and averaged 183c.

GC and CJ White, Marionvale, Surat, sold Charolais cross cows to 277c, reaching a top of $1750 to average $1602. Bulls over 600kg earned to 301c and averaged 280c. NW and BE York and OC and JM York, Wonga Park, Wallumbilla sold Hereford bulls to 297c, reaching a top of $3076 to average $2496.
