Blackwater Bilbies had a comfortable win over Emerald Brothers in the first round of the Barton Shield on Saturday.
Batting first, Emerald were all out for 116 in the 33rd over. Top scorers were J Russell,33 not out, and C Cullen, 23. Doing the damage for Blackwater were L Munro, who took 4 for 21 off 8 overs, and J Hansen with 3 for 32.
Chasing 117 for victory, Blackwater reached 7/119 in the 32nd over. Top scorers were S Harris, with 41 from 39 balls, and M Donovan, 28. For Emerald, M Stallard took 3 for 29 and C Harms took 2 for 26.
