The Young Beef Producers' Forum is back in 2019 for what is set to be another cracking year.
Now in its 15th year, the forum continues to bring together the next generation of agriculture, providing educational, networking and capacity-building opportunities.
With the aim to make a difference in all aspects of their lives, including on-farm, off-farm, family, personal and business related areas, the theme this year is 'Back yourself. Back your industry'.
After attracting a record attendance of 265 delegates in 2018, YBPF committee chair Sarah Packer said they were excited to be back for another year of high quality, inspiring and engaging content.
"Given the environment the agriculture industry is currently facing, the committee decided that the theme needed to put a bit more confidence back into the industry and back into the young individuals coming through," Ms Packer said.
"We want a theme that encourages people to step up and be proud of where they come from and know that there is a future in the agriculture industries, so we've got a lineup of great speakers who we feel are going to encourage that and push forward."
Some of the speakers include Cultivate Farms founder Sam Marwood, the 2019 Zanda McDonald Award recipients Shannon Landmark and Luke Evans, and Callan Daley, a future young leader who spoke at the EvokeAG conference earlier in the year, advocating for increased pride in the industry and working to improve the language used within and around agriculture.
The program also boasts a mystery speaker. Well known in the cattle breeding industry, Ms Packer said this person had thoroughly engaged attendees last time they presented at the forum and this year's group should look forward to hearing from them.
"In a year that has proven to show the resilience of our sector, we are very excited to announce this year's property tour will be a Saleyards extravaganza," Ms Packer said.
"The Roma Saleyards has achieved a 50 year milestone and with this momentous occasion, attendees will have the full experience of Australia's largest selling complex, incorporating a diverse range of sessions.
"A virtual property tour will be hosted by Kate and John Scott, covering topics relating to their experience of pasture improvements, infrastructure developments, livestock management and overall business decision making.
"Daniel and Kasey Phillips will relate to the YBPF masses. A young and passionate couple who established Murgona Cattle Co in 2010, they have been making leaps and bounds in the Santa Gertrudis breed ever since."
The sessions will also include a presentation from Stocklick Trading's Donna Weber and Stevie Jackson who will share their wealth of knowledge about nutrition, and representatives from leading industry groups will touch on topics relevant to current challenges.
"It's going to be a cracker of a year, and attendees shouldn't forget about the Meet and Greet on Wednesday night and the TopX Dinner and Auction on Thursday night," Ms Packer said.
"Ticket sales close November 2."
