HUNDREDS of buyers from throughout Queensland and further afield have converged on the Central Queensland Livestock Exchange, Gracemere, for the biggest sale of its type in the southern hemisphere.
The Rockhampton Brahman Week Sale, which kicked off today, is offering 867 Brahman bulls and continues until the close of business on October 9.
Both grey and red Brahmans will go under the hammer over the three days.
A top price of $105,000 was reached on Monday, when the Kirk family's Carinya Milwaukee (H) sold to joint buyers Will Fenech, Fenech Cattle Company, and Mark and Belinda Wilson, Banana Station.
Day one saw a 100 per cent clearance to average $9521.
The sale continues on Tuesday from 8am.
