The Monto All Breeds sale on Saturday topped at $6250 with a 67pc clearance and an average of $4167.
The topped priced bull was Wiluna Normie (P) and at 21 months of age he weighed 768 kg and was sired by AK Archibald AHRK9 (P).
Normie had an eye muscle area of 125 sq cm and 42cm scrotal circumference, 66pc Charolais and 34pc Brahman content.
The successful buyers were Paul and Monica Lobegeier, Monto, who were looking for a polled bull with a tidy sheath.
Mr Lobegeier said temperament was also an important factor in the purchase as he needed very quiet cattle.
Leading breed at the sale was Limousin with two bulls that averaged $4750 for 100pc clearance, offered by Paul Forman, Oakwood Limousin stud, Bundaberg.
Charbrays averaged $4667 for nine bulls with a 100pc clearance.
Two Grey Brahmans sold from three offered and averaged $4625 and the Red Brahmans averaged $4176 for the five bulls sold from 11 offered.
Nine Shorthorn bulls averaged $4527 with 100pc clearance and seven from the 12 Droughtmaster bulls averaged $4428.
Sandy Pointon and sons, Mt Eagle, Eidsvold bought nine bulls to average $4222.
They bought three Shorthorn bulls, three Angus bulls, two Charbrays and a Grey Brahman.
The Grey Brahman was the second top priced bull at the sale, offered by Jess and Eugene Mollenhagen, Mountain Springs.
Mountain Spring Brigalow (AI), a 21-month-old bull sired by Elrose Trade Mark (S) weighing in at 765 kg with an IMF of 4.8pc and scrotal size of 37cm, was bought for $5750.
Brad McInally, Monto Cattle and Country said that he was generally happy with the sale considering the tough climatic conditions.
