The inaugural Roma Invitational Limousin bull sale sold to a top of $8000 on Friday.
Of the 24 bulls on offer from three vendors, seven sold for a 29 per cent clearance rate and average of $5071.
It was Wyalla Navaska, offered by Oakvale Limousins, who made top money.
Purchased by Ian Macallister and Ben Whip, Roma Downs, Roma, the 24-month-old polled bull tipped the scales at 938 kilograms and had a scrotal circumference of 40 centimetres, with an eye muscle area of 145 square centimetres, intramuscular fat of 4.3pc, and P8 and rib fat depths of 6mm and 4mm respectively.
A second-top price of $7500 was paid by the Duff family, Duffield, Injune, for Benjarra Nugget, offered by Benjarra Pastoral Co.
The bull weighed in at 840kg and measured 36cm in scrotal circumference, with an EMA of 146sq cm, IMF of 4.6pc, and P8 and rib fat depths of 9mm and 6mm respectively.
Ray White Rural Roma conducted the sale and agent AJ Riley said all of the vendors had done a great job preparing a quality lineup of bulls.
"It's just a shame the season has gone how it has," he said.
