Local competitors and Scenic Rim schools turned out to support the Beaudesert Show on Friday.

The morning program included judging for prime beef, show jumping, horticulture and dairy cattle.

Horse and pony events in the arena included show jumping and horse and pony events, with riders of all ages taking their turn in the ring.

In the fine arts pavilion school children proudly surveyed their own paintings, including Ethan Blunsdon, 8, who won the year two class painting category and reserve champion.

Ethan and the entire student body from Hillview State School were also happy to congratulate schoolmate Emerson Ingham, 5, who came away with the top prize in the Prep class painting category in her very first competition entry.

At the vintage tractor and truck exhibition there were more antique machines than ever including a Beaudesert fire truck from the 60s and a 1925 Mystery Overlander displayed by Craig Teese along with a trailer rebuilt from bits and pieces found in a graveyard on the Teese property at Veresdale.
