Teenage rugby talent on show

Last Friday Downs Rugby's best emerging teenage boy talent was on show at Ballymore Stadium. Under 13s - Angus Buckley, Chase Oats, Ewald Kruger, Patrick Nolan, Max North and Noah Taylor. Under 14s - Connor Day, George Bailey, Henry Ford, Mason Kira, Sonny Dahlaeimer, and Wihan Krugar. Under 16s: Assistant coach: John Hill, manager: Rick Lingard, players: Anthony Connellan, Declan Pickard, Jordan Aramoana, Preston Brown, Ronan Austin. Country teams put on a show, with the Under 14 Country side defeating City in an upset 15 points to 12 victory, while the Under 13s drew 27-all and the Under 16s also drew 22-all. Country players Maconal Grealy (Downlands College / Souths Kookaburras) and Lytana King-Togia (Our Lady of the Southern Cross Cellege / Dalby Wheatmen) have also been selected on the Australian Schools Barbarian Team to play Samoa this September.
