Store bullocks sell to strong competition at Beaudesert.

Agents Bartholomew & Co reported a reduced yarding at their Beaudesert store sale on Saturday, where the market improved for all descriptions. A quality line up of store bullocks came to hand, selling to strong competition. Quality weaner steers also sold very well. Feeder steers and heifers were in high demand, although heifers were in short supply.

Robin Retschlag, Barney View, sold a line of 26 Santa cross store bullocks, topping at $1585 to average $1334. Sid Lewis, Peak Crossing, sold Charolais cross steers two years for $1090. Charolais cross steers 15 months account Pat Stark, Rosewood, sold for $1085.

Droughtmaster steers 14 months from Ross Elliott, Cainbable, sold for $915. Tim Potts, Beaudesert, sold Angus cross steers 12 months for $880. San Ed Cattle Co, Esk sold Droughtmaster cross steers 12 months for $810. Rodney Brewer, Canungra, sold Droughtmaster steers for $810. Brahman cross steers 12 months account Len and Jan Wilkinson, Beaudesert, sold for $750.

Ross Elliott sold Droughtmaster cross steers 12 months for $755. Euro cross weaner steers from San Ed Cattle Co sold for $495. Kevin and Ann Venz, Laravale, sold Droughtmaster cross weaner steers for $440. Charolais cross heifers 15 months account Rodney Brewer sold for $940.

Gary Shipperley, Peak Crossing, sold Droughtmaster cross heifers 12 months for $680. Droughtmaster cross heifers 12 months from San Ed Cattle Co made $650. Darryl and Trudy Brook, Rosevale, sold Santa cows and calves for $810.
