There were 284 head yarded at Stariha Auctions Woodford cattle sale on Monday. With rainfall of up to 150mm recorded in the local area in the past week, a lighter yarding of cattle saw the market stronger for weaner and feeder types.

Trevor and Natasha Weaver, Mt Kilcoy, sold lines of Droughtmaster heifers for $1120 and steers for $990. Terry O'Neill, Deception Bay, sold a line of Brahman cross steers for $1020. Giuseppe Bisinella, Yandina, sold Charbray steers for $820. Josh Sippel, Caboolture, sold a line of Droughtmaster cross steers for $630. Kelly Crouch, Mount Pleasant, sold Brahman heifers for $800. Lillian Ang, Rocksberg, sold Brahman cross heifers, 10 months, for $710.

Danny Doyle, Dayboro, sold Droughtmaster steers, 6-8 months, for $720 and a line of Brangus steers, six months, for $665. Ron Gehrke, Summerholme, sold Hereford cross weaner steers for $700. Ian Livingstone, Kurwongbah, sold a Shorthorn steer, 15 months, for $1240. Melissa Thornton, Harlin, sold Euro weaner steers for $790, Euro steer calves for $575 and Charolais heifers for $650. Karen Miles and Peter Maunders, Harlin, sold Brangus steer calves for $530. Iris Wessling, Kilcoy, sold Greyman steers for $710. Mt Archer Investments sold lines of Euro and Droughtmaster steers for $700-$765 and Charbray heifers for $675.
