Numbers increased by 500 head to 5935 at Dalby on Wednesday and cows continued to dominate the grown cattle section, along with a fair sample of bullocks.
Heavy weight yearling steers to feed improved in price. Bullocks also sold to a dearer trend. The large sample of cows were in demand with plain conditioned classes 9c dearer and good heavy cows improved in price by 15c/kg.
C2 yearling steers to feed made from 271.2c to 300.2c to average 290.8c, up 20c. C2 yearling heifers to feed sold from 230c to 253.2c, averaging 246.5c, less 6c.
C4 grown steers received from 290.2c to 309.2c, averaging 301.1c, up 22c. C4 grown heifers made from 268.2c to 276.2c, averaging 272.7c, up 25c. C4 manufacturing steers sold from 272.2c to 289c.
D4 cows received from 205.2c to 228.2c, averaging 217c, up 15c. C3 bulls made from 233.2c to the top price of 277.2c, averaging 260.1c, less 3c.
