There were 733 head yarded at Elders Harristown Saleyards on Monday. Export class and heavy trade were firm with lightweight plainer cattle still proving difficult to sell.

Best bulls ex Pittsworth sold for $2384. Best bullocks a/c G Stirling & Co, Pittsworth sold to 309.2c in pen lots to return $1923 with an ex led steer topping at 313.2c/kg to return $2223. Heavy feeder steers a/c Alan Hudson, Cooyar sold in pen lots for $1147 with heavy feeder heifers ex same vendor selling for $1057.

Best of a plain yarding of cows sold to a top of 206.2c to return $1346. Heavy trade steers a/c Glen Merrit, Pittsworth weighing 505kg selling to 296.2c to return $1495. Trade weight feeders a/c OG Moore, Condamine sold to 269.2c in pen lots. A pen of quality lightweight Limousin heifers a/c Simon McCarthy, Nobby sold to 238.2c. A pen of Angus cross steers a/c Matthew Briggs, Linthorpe sold to 270.2c to return $694.
