Numbers were virtually unchanged at 5954 at Dalby on Wednesday and trend of a large supply of cows continued. The usual panel of buyers was present and operating. Well bred lines of yearling steers to restockers or feed experienced strong support, and this trend flowed onto the yearling heifers.
C2 yearling steers made from 243.2c/kg to 284.2c to average 258.3c, up 21c. C2 yearling heifers sold from 216.2c to 244.2c, averaging 233c, less 13c. D2 grown steers received from 202.2c to 242.c, averaging 214c.
C4 grown heifers sold from 248.2c to 280.2c, averaging 269.5c, up 1c. C4 manufacturing steers made 279.2c. D1 cows made from 121.2c to 150.2c, averaging 134.5c to be 1c dearer. C3 bulls sold from 240.2c to 270c, averaging 257.2c, increasing by 1c.
