Agents Boyd O'Brien Bartholomew reported a yarding of 918 head of cattle at Moreton on Tuesday. The market improved across the board, especially for the better quality types. A good line of feeder steers came to hand and sold well. Cows were in large supply and met strong competition. Heavy trade were in demand.

R Wernowski, Greenbank, sold Euro cross vealer heifers for 191.2c weighing 285kg to return $545. Charolais cross yearling steers account Hansen Family Trust, Kilcoy, sold for 239.2c weighing 322kg to return $771. Hansen Family Trust also sold Charolais cross yearling heifers for 217.2c weighing 299kg to return $650.
