As the record exhibitor numbers continue to grow well past 2000, more than 60,000 visitors are expected to brave the Toowoomba weather to attend the 44th CRT FarmFest.
The three-day event opened its gates on Tuesday morning, with a number of exciting innovations awaiting its loyal customers.
Event partner, Clipex, is one vendor showing off new products, including their PG tub system with air upgrade, HD2000 series auto crush, and sheep handler.
Clipex product category manager Lachlan Knight said despite the widespread dry conditions, many graziers were still showing a strong interest in improving their equipment.
"In general, everyone I speak to is reasonably positive about it (the dry conditions)," Mr Knight said.
"A lot of people don't have the capital to spend on equipment right now because they're buying feed to save stock, but they still want to know what's there for when the season turns, because it will turn."
Fairfax Rural Events group manager Kate Nugent believes visitors to this year's event will be focused on how they can continue to develop and improve efficient farming practices, to drought-proof, to flood-proof and be on the lookout for products and services to meet these needs.
"The sheer size, product/service range, diversity and national positioning of CRT FarmFest offers unmatched marketing opportunities providing primary industry in Queensland with an unparalleled opportunity to increase its already high efficiency," Ms Nugent said.
"We strive every year to find better and more efficient ways for our exhibitors to meet the needs of their customers, and every year we get more and more companies wanting to be a part of these field days."
