The market eased at Toowoomba on Monday for plainer conditioned stock, however, better conditioned animals improved in rates.

There were 786 head yarded at Elders Harristown Saleyards Monday. The market eased across the board for plainer conditioned stock, however, better conditioned animals improved in rates. Bulls sold from 180-203.2c/kg. Heavy full mouth bullocks sold to $1854. No quality heavy feeder steers were yarded. Heavy heifers ex Allora sold to a top of 270.2c to return $1202.

Best heavy cows reached 210.2c with most selling from 185-200c with lighter cows easing in price to average 130-160c. Heavy trade steers ex Goombungee sold to 270.2c to return $1186 with the heifer portion reaching 239.2c. A Limousin cross steer ex Allora sold to 284.2c with Angus steer calves ex Meringandan selling to 260c. Lightweight Limousin heifer ex Rockmount sold to 236.2c. Hereford cross steers a/c Lynton and Steven Gillies, Emu Creek sold to 254.2c. Cows and calves sold to $800.
