An attractive Volume Bull Buyers Rebate for purchasers of five bulls or more was an extremely popular innovation at last year's Ag-Grow Multi-Breed Beef Bull Sale so Selling Agents GDL and McCaffrey's Australian Livestock Marketing have increased the value of the rebate available to buyers for this year's event, to be held on Friday, June 21 from 9am.
132 bulls representing seven breeds have been catalogued including a very high percentage of 114 poll and or scurred bulls. The Sale's breed make-up is 53 Angus, 43 Charolais, 17 Simmentals, 7 Red Angus, 6 Senepol, 3 Murray Grey and 3 Poll Red Brahmans.
Sale auctioneer Ken McCaffrey said many cattle producers appreciated the Agents' introduction of the Volume Rebate at the 2018 sale, taking the opportunity to put together good lines of bulls at good value prices.
"We're pleased to increase our support in that way again this year to well and truly lighten the load of transport costs for those who come to buy numbers," he said. "It also makes the sale more attractive to buyers from further away to the North and Western areas."
All bulls sell unreserved, giving confidence to prospective buyers, and all bulls have current semen and health tests as well as tick pre-treatments required for travel to clean country areas.
The Senepol offering of six bulls from Wiangaree, NSW will be the first of that breed ever offered at the sale and the draft includes 2018's Champion Senepol Bull of the Royal Brisbane Show.
"The sale at Emerald is well positioned to get bulls quickly and efficiently to buyers in Northern and Western areas as well as to the Central Coastal regions, Dawson/Callide, Arcadia Valley and anywhere in the Central Highlands," GDL's Stud Stock Auctioneer Mark Duthie said.
Vendors endeavour to present their bulls in good strong, healthy condition ideal to go straight out into the paddock early Spring and work a strong season. This year's vendor list includes leading Studs K5X, Wallawong, Moongool, Talooby, Goondi, Carabar, 4 Ways, Mountview, Clay Gully, Billa Park.
All Sale bulls will be penned for inspection on Thursday June 20 and from 7am. The auction at the Bull Selling Complex, commences at 9am Friday, June 21. Online Live Sale Viewing and Bidding will also be available through Elite Livestock Auctions. Sale catalogues and details are available www.gdlrural.com.au
