A total of 25 Angus bulls sold for an average of $3820 at Ced and Rowena Wise's Glenisa on-property bull sale, Glen Aplin, on Friday.
The sale topped at $10,000 for Glenisa Nix N038 with Andrew Costello, Landmark, Toowoomba, bidding on behalf of Andrew Bassingthwaighte, Yaarrawonga Cattle Co,Wallumbilla.
Mr Bassingthwaighte said Glenisa Nix N038 appealed for his muscle pattern and fertility.
He will be used in the Yarrawonga recipient breeding progam, where they use Santa Gertudis Angus cross heifers in their embryo transfer program.
"This is a very good hybrid cross as we find the Angus have good milk figures," Mr Bassingwaighte said.
Glenisa Nix N038 is a son of NKD DSK RR Jimbob J21 from a Glenisa Flower female family.
At 21 months of age he weighed 766 kilograms, an eye muscle area of 130sq cm, and 38cm scrotal circumference.
Vendor, Ced Wise said the sale felt the full affects of the drought conditions in the Traprock district and beyond.
"It has been tough on us all, but it will rain again, one day," he said.
