Agents Boyd O'Brien Bartholomew reported a yarding of 1023 head of cattle at Moreton on Tuesday. Quality yearling steers sold to a stronger market than previous weeks as did both feeder steers and heifers. Export cattle were firm to dearer in all descriptions

P and M Williams, Toogoolawah, sold Droughtmaster cross vealer steers for 227.2c/kg weighing 255kg to return $579. Santa cross yearling steers account G Busch, Christmas Creek, sold for 257.2c weighing 264.4kg returning $680. Llanarth Pastoral, Charters Towers, sold Droughtmaster cross yearling heifers for 250.2c weighing 335kg to return $838. Light Euro yearling heifers account Tandarra Partners, Sandy Creek, sold for 231.2c weighing 297kg returning $687.

Graham Isbell, Coulson, sold Charolais cross feeder steers for 303.2c weighing 506kg to return $1534. Angus cross feeder heifers account Ladbrook Enterprises, Fernvale, sold for 268.2c weighing 425kg to return $1139. Ladbrook Enterprises also sold Angus cross pasture ox for 297.2c to weigh 667.5kg and return $1984. Valley Pride Produce, Kalbar, sold Euro cross cows for 244.2c weighing 745kg returning $1819.
