Mareeba Combined Agents penned a total of 292 head including 11 sold open auction at this week's prime and store cattle sale. Prime cattle were back in price on last week's sale but there was an increase in prices on store steers up 30c and store heifers up 17c. 32 bulls averaged 179.1c selling to a top of 220c. 101 cows averaged 164c selling to a top of 200.2c. 68 heifers averaged 181.9c selling to a top of 220.2c. 60 steers averaged 198c selling to a top of 247.2c. 13 yearling heifers averaged 168.2c selling to a top of 168.2c. Seven yearling steers averaged 251.2c selling to a top of 251.2c. 11 cows and calves sold at $430/unit.
