Numbers increased by 816 head to 5843 at Dalby on Wednesday. A fair panel of buyers was present and operating. Medium weight yearling steers to feed averaged 7c/kg better and heavy weight yearling steers to feed experienced some small improvements.
Medium weight yearling heifers to feed gained 4c to 9c at the time of this interim report. Light weight cows to restockers sold to strong demand. However, good heavy cows eased 16c to 17c. Medium weight 2 scores averaged 6c less.
C2 yearling steers to feed sold from 250c to 306.2c to average 282.8c, 7c dearer this week. C3 yearling heifers to feed made from 259.2c to 274.2c to average 272.5c, up 4c.
Grown C4 steers received from 272.3c to 288.2c, averaging 279.8c to be 5c cheaper. D3 grown heifers sold from 220c to 230.2c, easing 13c and averaging 221.6c. C4 manufacturing steers made 260c. D4 cows sold from 200c to 236.2c to average 219.2c, 16c less than the previous week. C3 bulls made from 214.2c to 254.2c to receive an average of 235.9c, less 8c this week.
