Families were out in force for the first day of the 155th Tooowoomba Royal Show on Thursday.
Although the weather remained overcast, there was no rain about to hinder the action in the show rings.
Four-year-old Lane Passmore took home a broadribbon when Passmore Chicken Nugget was sashed grand champion led steer.
The National Dorper and White Dorper Show took place in the Clive Berghofer Pavilion, with Burrawang Dorper and White Dorper Stud's star ram Piet crowned supreme champion exhibit of the show.
Sheepmeat, dairy and stud cattle judging will take place on Friday ahead of the stud cattle interbreed judging on Saturday.
The Darling Downs sub chamber Miss Showgirl and Rural Ambassador will also be announced on Saturday.
