A 28-year-old man has died after his ute collided with a B-double truck on the Warrego Highway on Tuesday night.
It is believed the utility vehicle, which was travelling east, collided with the westbound truck at about 11.30pm, 5km east of Jondaryan.
The driver of the utility, a man from Captains Mountain, died at the scene.
A 69-year-old male truck driver from Roma was assessed at the scene by paramedics, but sustained no injuries in the crash.
Forensic Crash Unit investigations are continuing, with police appealing for witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage to come forward.
Four fire crews were among the emergency crew who attended to help clear the scene, including a quantity of diesel spilled on the highway.
The highway was blocked overnight, but was expected to fully reopen to traffic shortly mid-morning.
