There were 381 head sold at Stariha Auctions Woodford cattle sale on Monday. In a hard time in the cattle industry, a floor was put in the market by restockers and feedlots. About 50-70mm of rain fell in some areas over the weekend, allowing local restockers to continue to remain active. Plainer types of cattle were again harder to sell.

Michael Green, Neurum, sold a line of Droughtmaster steer calves for $400 and a Red Brangus bull for $1080. Symbol Grazing, Woolmar, sold a line of quality Charbray weaner heifers for $800. Friedrich family, Toogoolawah, sold Greyman steers for $575. Rita Thornton, Kureelpa, sold Lowline cattle for $745- $840. Dennis Tones, Anduramba, sold a line of Charolais cross steer calves for $650. Dan Richards, Kilcoy, sold Simmental vealer heifers for $595. David and Elizabeth Spring, Harlin, sold Droughtmaster steers for $720-$790.
