There were 1042 head yarded at Stariha Auctions Laidley cattle sale on Thursday. The market was easier for all types, with rates back to the previous sale. Several first time buyers were in operation and along with regular operators kept a floor in the market for all descriptions.

Matthew Smith, Anduramba, sold Charbray cows for $895. The Lehmann family, Coolana, sold Charolais cross calves, with steers making $655 and heifers $400. The Hoger brothers, Ropeley, sold Charolais vealer calves for $500. Don Kneebone, Ingoldsby, sold Droughtmaster cows for $730. Kevin and Anne Utz, Coominya, sold Charolais store cows for $705. W Gelhaar, Ingoldsby, sold Brangus cows for $800. Tim Dow, Iredale, sold a line of Droughtmaster heifers for $740.

Paul and Nindiya Calcino, Morton Vale, sold a line of Droughtmaster steers for $700. Trevor Manteufel, Laidley, sold Brahman cross steers for $650. Ryan Cole, Carpendale, sold Senepol weaner steers for $550. Copely Gully, Hazeldean, sold Droughtmaster cross weaner steers for $560 and heifers for $535.
