Farmers made their way to Moonie on March 7 to attend the Grains Research and Development Corporation update.
GRDC grower relations manager Susan McDonnell said the update events were designed to deliver seasonally relevant, paddock-ready research back to growers and farm advisers to help inform paddock decision-making.
Held at the Moonie Sports Club, the crowd of 75 farmers heard from researchers and growers about cold temperatures and chickpeas, long coleoptile wheat, farming systems sodicity, sowthistle, deep phosphorus, grain storage and seed quality.
