VENDORS and agents are moving into day two of the Big Country Brahman sale at Charters Towers in a positive mind frame after the first day of the sale exceeded expectations.
About 150 grey registered Brahman sires and herd bulls will go under the hammer at the Dalrymple Saleyards today.
It follows a successful first day where red Brahmans and heifers received a 100 per cent clearance rate.
Yesterday, a total of 99 red Brahman bulls sold to gross $910,000 to average $9,190.
Six red Brahman herd bulls sold to gross $30,500 to average $5,085 with a top of $6000.
The heifers also sold well, with 25 Brahman Belles stud heifers selling to gross $120,500, to average $4,820 with a top price of $19,000.
Forty of "Lanes Creek Ladies" heifers sold to gross $220,000 to average $5,500 with a top of $12,500.
