Art enthusiast from the Roma region enjoyed the opening of renowned Sunshine Coast artist Ida Montague’s exhibit, ‘The Nature of Things’, on Friday evening.
Inspired by the colour and patterns in Australian native trees, Ms Montague undertook many research trips through the High Country of NSW, as well as coastal Queensland to complete the artworks on display.
Some of the artworks also draw upon her time in northern Australia with late husband, John Montague, a well known livestock exporter, depicting drovers, cattle, horsemen, cattle brands and ear tags.
