Agents Boyd O’Brien Bartholomew reported a yarding of 713 head of cattle at Moreton on Tuesday, where the market for vealers and yearlings was slightly easier. Trade cattle sold to a dearer market, as did quality lines of feeders.  Cows and ox sold well.

Santa cross yearling steers account M Baker, Eidsvold sold for 240c weighing 276kg to return $662.  D, L & N Sippel, Gatton, sold Droughtmaster cross yearling heifers for 244.2c weighing 305kg to return $744.

Brangus feeder steers account Gold Coast Pastoral, Currumbin, sold for 287.2c weighing 492kg to return $1413.  Charolais cross feeder heifers account Rosewood Cabinetmakers, Upper Tenthill, sold for 259.2c weighing 460kg to return $1192.  R & G Willson, Lilydale, sold Charolais cross feeder heifers for 259.2c weighing 357kg to return $926.
