Whitsunday MP Jason Costigan, who was dumped by his party after two young women alleged he had harassed them, has no plans to exit parliament.
Mr Costigan was expelled from the Liberal National Party on Friday and urged by leader Deb Frecklington to resign from public office.
The decision to dump the member for Whitsunday came a week after an 18-year-old claimed he had harassed her at her grandparents home.
He denied the accusation before being accused of predatory behaviour by a 20-year-old woman.
"I will NOT be resigning," he tweeted on Friday after being expelled.
Ms Frecklington described details of the initial complaint as sickening but says she wants to protect the women involved by keeping their claims private.
"I don't care about the political cost, this is about protecting young women and victims against predators," she said.
Mr Costigan was elected to state parliament in 2012 and holds his seat by a 0.6 per cent margin.
