Prices improved for most classes, with cows receiving the largest gains. Medium weight yearling steers to feed averaged 5c to 9c better and heavy weights gained 5c to 6c/kg. The better end of the medium weight yearling heifers to feed averaged 14c/kg dearer. Heavy grown steers and bullocks were noticeably dearer and cows lifted in price by 15c to 26c/kg.
C2 yearling steers to feed, weighing 330-400kg, sold from 260c to 288.2c, averaging 274.3c to be 9c/kg dearer. Same weight, C2 yearling heifers to feed made from 224.2c to 256.2c, to average 238.6c, easing 5c/kg.
D2 grown steers to feed made from 170.2c to 256.2c, averaging 239.4c/kg. Grown C4 heifers received from 246.2c to 270c, averaging 257.1c, representing an increase of 17c/kg. D2 cows weighing 400-520kg sold from 163.2c to 184c, to average 173.4c/kg, 15c/kg dearer than the previous week. C2 bulls made from 232.2c to 262.2c, to average 256.3c, while the bull market topped at 264.2c.
