Looking at the attendance at junior campdrafts around Australia it is clear that the future of campdrafting is in very safe hands! Junior campdraft competitors are aged from 8 years to under 13 years and their lack of experience is always made up for by enthusiasm.
A junior campdrafter can compete on any status of horse and are allowed on the course for 40 seconds if riding in a safe and controlled manner.
A fantastic way for young campdrafters to learn the sport is by attending an ACA youth camp, which aims to provide members with the fundamentals of campdrafting and ensure they are competing in a safe, fun and confident manner.
Upcoming youth camp dates can be found by visiting the events calendar on the ACA website.
