ADAM and Lisa Kingston are auctioning their property Sylvia Downs in Roma on February 7.
The property is 226 hectares (558 acres) in one freehold title. It is located 15km south west of Roma off the Mount Abundance Road. Sylvia Downs has bitumen road frontage along with an all-weather gravel access to the house and sheds.
The country is slightly undulating, highly productive belah/coolabah black soils with about 200ha of cultivation. Adam and Lisa have been growing wheat, barley and mungbean crops for grain along with specialised fodder crops for hay. The Kingstons say they have not used chemicals on the property since 2015, with the intention of converting to an organic status.
Sylvia Downs is described as a fertile, versatile property which is equally suited to grain or fodder cropping.
A two bedroom transportable home sits in an elevated position with views of Roma and a back drop of Bassett Mountain. The home has covered verandas along with a two car port.
Close to the home is a 12x15m open steel frame shed with a 20ft container attached, power connected and a blue metal floor.
Adam and Lisa have also put down two hard stands suitable for the erection of two more sheds, along with a hard stand pad for the silos.
Water is supplied to the home from a share bore equipped with an electric submersible pump. Two dams on the property also supply stock water.
Sylvia Downs is described as a fertile, versatile property which is equally suited to grain or fodder cropping.
