A TEENAGER has lost his life in a crash near Goondiwindi today.


A TEEN driver has been killed after his car ran off the road into a paddock in southern Queensland.

The 18-year-old's car ran off the Barwon Highway about 14km from Goondiwindi about 4.30pm today.

Police said initial investigations revealed that the vehicle had left the road and ploughed through a fence before coming to rest in a creek bed.

The 18-year-old driver, who was travelling alone, died at the scene.

Police said no other vehicles were involved in the crash and that Forensic Crash Unit investigations were continuing.
