There were 354 head yarded at Stariha Auctions Laidley cattle sale on Thursday. The market was dearer for all types, with western buyers very strong. With the talk of weekend rain, locals were also back in the market making younger cattle very strong.

Ron and Carol Jackson, Fordsdale, sold medium Droughtmaster cows for $1125, milk tooth heifers for $1040 and 10-12 month old steers for $940 and heifers for $900.
