44th annual Dalby ASH sale underway with more than 200 horses to sell

The sale got underway with 50 lots selling on Saturday evening achieving a top price of $30,000.

So far, 15 geldings have sold to average $8567, while 16 mares have averaged $9437, giving a total of 31 lots sold to average $9016.

Topping the Saturday evening offering was the nine-year-old bay mare, Booerie Creek Arietta, offered by Huon Smith, Boonara Creek, Tansey, with Shamil Livestock, Urunga, near Coffs Harbour, NSW placing the winning bid of $30,000.

Shamil Livestock were new buyers at last year’s sale where they certainly made their presence felt throughout the sale buying 14 mares, one gelding and one stallion spending in excess of $300,000.

Next at $28,500 was the six-year-old grey gelding Doongara Power King, offered by Glasshouse Country Farms, Dalby, and bought over the telephone by Karl Nastasi, Burra, NSW.

The Flynn family, Ridgelands, sold Banana Station Donna for $18,0000 to Marcus Curr, Yelvertoft, Mt Isa.

A  six-year-old  second cross mare who has done plenty of mustering miles to her credit, is by Beauview Maverick from Banana Station Expressions.

John Arnold, Longreach, sold Gleneden Daddys Rose, by One Moore Daddy from Blenheim Maggie for $12,000 to Dillon McKinnon, Bingara, NSW. 

The sale will continue through to Sunday afternoon.
