Cattle were drawn from Maryborough, Childers, Aramamra, Bauple, Kilkivan, Woolooga, Kenilworth, Maleny, Eumundi and all local areas.
Heavy feeder steers from Barry and Hazel Gill, Imbil topped at 311c to average $1309. Droughtmaster steers from Philip Kirk, Maryborough made 310c ($1500). Braford steers from the Webster family, Goomborian made 307c ($1384). Limo cross steers from RMK, Maryborough made 308c ($1217). Droughtmaster steers from R and A Aitken made 290c ($1149).
Droughtmaster steers from G Bartlett, Kybong made 297c ($1020 and $1003). High grade Brahman steers from Sandalwood Cattle, Theebine made 289c ($1119). Droughtmaster steers from C. Black, Bells Bridge made 331c ($1011 and $1002). Jason and Piper Johnston, Obi Obi sold a quality line of Droughtmaster weaner steers making 343c ($1066), 351c ($950) and 303c ($818). Their Simmental cross steers topped at 300c ($810).
Kelvin Schroder sold Charbray steers for 305c and 300c topping at $797. Charbray cross steers from Rowan Sippel made 289c ($821). Droughtmaster steers from the Blanckensee family, Kandanga made 343c ($827). Charbray steers from Dion Williams, Brooweena made 300c to return $900. Simmental cross steers from T and E Pike, Wonga made 319c ($925). Generally better quality weaner steers sold from 280c to 351c, with the next run selling from 250c to 280c.
Feeder heifers were limited in supply selling to a top of 280c ($1055) for Simmental cross heifers from L. Williams, Amamoor. Limo cross heifers from RMK, Maryborough made 271c. Feeder heifers made from 255c to 280c. Light feeder heifers sold from 230c to 251c. Droughtmaster weaner heifers from Jason and Piper Johnston, Obi Obi sold to a top of 281c ($797). Their Simmental cross heifers made 260c ($726) and Charolais cross heifers made 261c. Good conditioned vealer heifers sold from 220c to 251c. Better quality light weaner heifers sold from 230c to 258c. Plainer lines generally sold from 200c to 235c.
Charbray cows and calves from Ford Brothers, Beaver Rock sold for $1475. Charbray cows and calves from Barry and Hazel Gill, Imbil made $1200. Brahman cows and calves from Rodney Johansen, Boompa made $1120. The next run of cows and calves made $600 to $1000.
