An outstanding draft of 52 lots have been assembled for the Cream of the Crop Droughtmaster female sale being held at the Coolabunia Selling Complex, Kingaroy.

The Bunya sales group have assembled an outstanding draft of 52 lots from eight vendors for the Cream of the Crop Droughtmaster female sale being held at the Coolabunia Selling Complex, Kingaroy on November 24. 

Sale committee member Melanie Brown said 10 cows and calves, seven joined females and 35 unjoined females have been selected for the catalogue.

The Heck family, Bryvonlea, Glastonbury will be offering eight unjoined heifers.

“The Bryvonlea draft will include two daughters of the $50,000 Skye Wilfred and two daughters of Vale View Ripper, sire of the record priced female at the Droughtmaster National Sale,” Melanie said.

The Smith family, Vale View, Manumbar have assembled a draft of six females for the sale, including three daughters of Glenlands Substitute, whose sons have averaged $9875, and daughters have averaged $4500.

“Vale View will also offer daughters of Vale View X-Man and Angle Zed Ferdinand whose sons were in hot demand at this years spring bull sales.”

The Pickering Family, Windera have put together a draft of seven unjoined heifers from their RSVP and Sylvan Springs Studs. 

“A draft highlight will be two daughters of Warrina Yalumba, sire of RSVP Nevada, Supreme Exhibit at the 2018 Gatton Droughtmaster Futurity.

“Ianbrae Wanted will be represented by two daughters, Wanted is the sire of RSVP Kalender Girl, the 2016 Brisbane Royal Show Grand Champion Female. 

“Sylvan Springs Escapade, the 2012 Brisbane Royal Grand Champion Bull will also be represented by one daughter.”

Nindethana Pastoral, Camp Mountain, will offer four females including the “successful show heifer, Nindethana Ivana, which is PTIC in calf to the $25,000 RSVP Jackpot and carries some outstanding bloodlines”. 

Nindethana will also offer three unjoined heifers including two by Billabong Ridley and one by RSVP Jackpot.

Offerings from the Roberton family, By-Mingo, Coalstoun Lakes (five lots), the Harms family, Oakmore, Greenmount (four lots), and the Aitken family, Lorayne, Bellthorpe (two lots), round out the draft “and include some of the best bloodlines from these studs”.

She said the McCabe family, Breffni Droughtmasters, Miles, will also offer 15 females as part of a “herd reduction” and includes a selection of proven genetics from their operation. 

“With an excellent start to the season, an opportunity to pick up some leading females from leading studs is within reach.”
