POLICE have located four unregistered firearms, ammunition and 32 cannabis plants while exercising a warrant in Flinton.
Detectives from the Toowoomba Major and Organised Crime Squad (Rural) searched the property on October 27.
Police said a 52-year-old Flinton man had been charged with four counts of unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of explosives without authority, producing dangerous drugs, and possession of a drug utensil.
He will appear in the Dalby Magistrates Court on November 20.
Detective Senior Sergeant Trevor Stephens said the efforts demonstrated the “anytime, anywhere” mantra police had towards tackling illicit drugs and weapon-related offences.
“Every unlicensed weapon we take off the street makes the community safer,” he said.
“Consequently, we will be unrelenting in our efforts. We continue to seek community information to assist in targeting these offenders.”
Crime can be reported to Policelink on 131 444 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers, on 1800 333 000.
