Limousin trade weight steers reach 329.2c at Toowoomba


There were 544 cattle yarded at Toowoomba on Monday.


There were 544 cattle yarded at Elders Harristown Saleyards on Monday with Elders dominating the yarding with a total of 407 cattle plus 215 in the calf sale.

Elders also sold the top pen of bullocks returning $2013.99, cows at $1327.04, trade heifers at $1258.23, trade steers at $1365.77, cows and calves to $1280.

Bullocks a/c MDS and M Donohue, Mt Darry sold to 310.2c, 638kgs for $1980.

Heavy 4 tooth feeder steers sold to 307.2c to return $1297. Top price cows  a/c DI and RY Hartwig, Plainby sold to 255.2c for $1327.04.

Cows ex Wandoan sold to 237.2c. Local cows made to 240.2c, a/c Klein family, Mt Darry. Lighter conditioned cows met with an easier market.

Limousin trade weight steers a/c DI and RY Hartwig sold to 329.2c to return $1213. Trade weight heifers a/c Kuhl Farming, Highland Plains sold to 317.2c at $1258.23. Trade weight feeder steers a/c Ken Reushle, Hampton sold to 308.2c with heifers making to 283.2c.

Trade weight heifers a/c WD and HM Darr, Oakey sold to 290.2c to return $1189. Lightweight Angus steers a/c Rob Schick, Upper Yarraman, sold to 364.2c to return $805.

Lightweight Santa Gertrudis steers a/c H and AER Griffiths, sold to 324.2c to return $866 with cows and calves reaching $1280.
