The Women in Ag was hosted by the ladies of the Darling Downs Cotton Growers Inc. and it is a day for women in agriculture to recharge, rejuvenate and reconnect with each other.
Held in the beautiful gardens of Jimbour House the day included a picnic lunch, market stalls, live music, fashion parade, multi-draw raffles, lucky door prize and kids entertainment.
The day deatured guest speaker Chantal Cornish who spoke on “how to escape the cult of busy and why you should.”
Proceeds raised on the day were donated to the rural mental health campaign titled ‘Are You Bogged Mate?’ – which encourages and helps country blokes talk about mental health and suicide while spreading awareness about depression in the bush.
