Agents Bartholomew & Co reported a yarding of 243 head of cattle at their Beaudesert store sale on Saturday. Due to good falls of rain in the Scenic Rim region, numbers were reduced but those who yarded were well rewarded. Quality weaners were in strong demand.
Bob and Sylvia Day, Sheldon, sold Droughtmaster cross steers 12 months for $830. Angus cross steers 12 months from Dan and Kym Coaster-Garton, Rathdowney sold for $810. Euro cross steers account Homeville Rural Enterprises, Roadvale sold for $800 and $770. Goomburra Valley Droughtmasters, Goomburra sold Droughtmaster weaner steers for $750. M & M Platell Farming Co, Josephville sold Santa cross weaner steers for $725.
David and Annette Kassulke, Bromelton sold Droughtmaster cross weaner steers for $655. Charolais cross weaner steers account Geoff and Tracey Dunnett, Maroon sold for $405.
