NEGOTIATIONS are continuing on the Condamine property Westfield, which was passed in at a Ray White Rural auction for $2.69 million.
Four of the seven parties that registered to bid were active at the auction in Brisbane.
Located 34km north west of Condamine and 25km south of Drillham, Westfield consists of 1055 hectares (2607 acres) of gently undulating brigalow, belah soils and some areas of wilga and bottletree scrub country. There is about 930ha of largely long fallowed cultivation country.
Westfield is described as being is centrally located to various grain depots, feedlots and selling centres of Miles, Roma and Dalby. It displays excellent farming infrastructure including sheds as well as exceptional on-farm grain storage. Other improvements include a five bedroom homestead.
Marketing agent Jon Kingston said while the property was primarily set up as a farming operation, it provided the water, fencing and yard infrastructure to establish a livestock enterprise.
